Therapy is about you! You are the expert on your life. I'm there to help gently reflect, listen and sometimes ask tough or challenging questions to move you forward. My favorite question is: What does your life look like if your weren't in the situation that brought you to therapy? When you're ready to make meaningful change, please give me a call.

Meet Your Therapist

I am Brantlee Spurrier. I am a clinically licensed social worker in South Carolina and have held additional certification in Family Trauma. I have over 24 years experience helping students, adults and families navigate school and life challenges.

I love the telehealth model because my clients can meet with me in the familiar setting of their own home, maximizing their comfort and ability to dig deep and tackle tough issues. I’m able to serve clients from Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, Spartanburg, Rock Hill, Greenwood, Myrtle Beach and everywhere in between! Location is no longer a factor for clients in rural South Carolina to access quality mental healthcare. Are you stressed out dealing with life changes? Grieving the loss of a loved one? Struggling to cope with a child that is refusing to attend school or a past trauma that is still haunting you? Therapy can help! It gives you a safe space to vent your frustrations, unload your problems and share your dreams of what you want your life to look like when this season passes. No matter what your situation is, reaching out to a stranger to share your feelings, fears, and worries can be daunting. I understand that reluctance and applaud you for taking the monumental step into therapy. This shows your desire to make meaningful change.

Please know that I will listen, challenge, and help you to move forward. Together we will explore where you are currently and set goals for where you want to be. Depending on your needs and goals, we may include a spouse, a child, a parent or have an entire family session occasionally to best meet the goals you have set for therapy.

My Therapeutic Approach

I have an eclectic style using strategies from several types of therapy including Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, from a Trauma-Informed Strengths perspective. We will begin by exploring what prompted you to begin therapy during your intake session. We will also explore family dynamics and discuss health, substance use and mental health history. In the second session, you can expect to establish your primary goals for our therapeutic time and we will build a treatment plan together and start making positive changes.
